The Chemistry Masters Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University (UNTAN), continues to demonstrate its commitment to producing globally-minded graduates. This time, two of its top students, Delia Ramadhina Tanzikha and Aisyah Amalia Putri, are actively participating in the Tengkawang International Summer Course 2026.

The event, which took place in early May, brought together UNTAN students and students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Traveling from Pontianak to Singkawang, the program integrates local West Kalimantan knowledge with sustainable business and innovation approaches.

Uniquely, the program is named “Tengkawang,” inspired by the iconic West Kalimantan icon known as the tree of life. This philosophy aligns with the program’s mission, where participants are encouraged to design collaborative projects that address future environmental and economic challenges.

Through this international exposure, the UNTAN Chemistry Masters Program hopes that students will not only be proficient in the laboratory, but also be sensitive to social and environmental issues around them, and capable of collaborating internationally.
