Strengthening Global Networks, UNTAN and UNIMAS Postgraduate Students Hold Cross-Border Scientific Discussion

The Master’s Program in Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tanjungpura University (UNTAN), continues to demonstrate proactive steps on the international stage. Most recently, they successfully partnered with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) to host a scientific discussion titled MICDROP 2.0 International Edition.

The event, held on the UNIMAS campus, brought together five UNTAN Master’s students in Chemistry and five UNIMAS PhD candidates as presenters. In front of dozens of local Master’s and Doctoral students, as well as faculty members, they presented various research breakthroughs in science, such as nanotechnology and environmental chemistry.

The discussion was very dynamic and interactive. High appreciation came from the UNIMAS academics in attendance, demonstrating that the quality of research produced by UNTAN students is competitive and synergistic at the regional level.

This collaboration is expected to go beyond the presentation room. The long-term goal is to create a strong international research network and sustainable cooperation that can have a tangible impact on the development of science in both countries.
